The Langtang Valley Trek is a remarkable Himalayan journey just north of Kathmandu, offering a perfect blend of nature, culture, and adventure. Known as the “Valley of Glaciers,” Langtang is less crowded than Everest and Annapurna regions but equally stunning. This 11-day trek takes you through dense rhododendron forests, high alpine pastures, charming Tamang villages, and up-close views of Langtang Lirung (7,227m), Ganesh Himal, and other snow-capped peaks. Ideal for trekkers seeking a peaceful yet scenic trail, the Langtang Valley Trek also offers cultural insights into the Tibetan-influenced lifestyle of the local Tamang and Sherpa communities. It’s a great option for those short on time but longing for a true Himalayan experience.

Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)

Welcome to Nepal! Our team will pick you up at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer you to your hotel in Kathmandu. Short briefing about the trek.

Day 2

Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,550m) – 7 hours

A scenic drive through terraced hills and rural landscapes to the gateway of the Langtang region.

Day 3

Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2,380m) – 6 hours

Start trekking along the Langtang Khola River, passing through dense forests and waterfalls.

Day 4

Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3,430m) – 6 hours

A gradual climb through oak and rhododendron forests with first views of Langtang Lirung. Visit the rebuilt Langtang village, once destroyed by the 2015 earthquake.

Day 5

Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m) – 4 hours

A shorter walk today to a high-altitude yak pasture area. Explore Kyanjin Gompa and visit the local cheese factory.

Day 6

Acclimatization Day – Hike to Tserko Ri (4,984m)

Early morning hike to Tserko Ri for an incredible sunrise over the Langtang range. Return to Kyanjin for rest.

Day 7

Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel – 6 hours

Trek back the same route, enjoying views from a different perspective.

Day 8

Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi – 5 hours

Descend through lush forests and peaceful trails to Syabrubesi.

Day 9

Drive back to Kathmandu – 7 hours

Return to the capital and enjoy a relaxing evening or some shopping.
